Evil vs. Bad: Where Are They Now?

No new Bad Meets Evil song or album has been released to the public since 2011. These are the current activities of Royce Da 5’9″ and Eminem.

The legendary Detroit lyricists Royce Da 5’9″ and Eminem make up the hip-hop super-duo Bad Meets Evil. Since the middle of the 1990s, the two have worked together. They have released one full-length album, Hell: The Sequel, in 2011 in addition to several singles and lyrical appearances on compilation albums and movie soundtracks. Royce and Em had a falling out in the early 2000s, but they reconciled in 2011 when Royce Da 5’9″‘s hip-hop supergroup Slaughterhouse was signed by Eminem’s Shady Records. After over three decades of rhyming, the “Evil half” of Bad Meets Evil has sold over 500 million records and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. This distinction is shared by just ten other hip-hop groups in history.

Music To Be Murdered By, Eminem’s most recent studio album, was released at the beginning of 2020. Later that year, a full-length Side B deluxe edition was also made available. Since then, Em has made appearances on a number of features with musicians including Skylar Grey, Fat Joe, and Shady Records signee EZ Mil. His most recent performance was on the Lyrical Lemonade album All Is Yellow. The song “Doomsday Pt. 2” features Eminem, who demonstrates that his lyrical skills as sharp as ever.
